Professional Lessons Monday 8:00pm - 10:00pm KAC Multipurpose Room 237
Each week we receive professional instruction on intermediate and advanced ballroom technique from Svetlana Ishakov, founder, owner and director of the Columbus DanceCentre. She is one of the top professional dancesport dancers in the United States and the world. She was a US representative to the world professional 10-dance championships held in Japan on June 22, 2003. Her titles include 3rd place in the 2003 US professional 10-dance championships, 1999 Ohio Star Ball Professional Rising Star Latin-American Champion, Open Professional Northcoast and Cincinnati Dancesport Champion. Members of the club are expected to have some experience before attending these lessons.
Tuesday through Thursday each week student teachers provide basic and intermediate instruction on all the dances our club competes in and some social dances. These lessons are open to members with all levels of experience taught at a manageable pace. Perfect for those who wish to dance casually and competitively alike! For those who don't have ballroom shoes, socks are recommended. No partner required: the instructors frequently rotate partners throughout each lesson.
